What is a 'Factory Second'? What should I expect?

That is the first question that might rise for many of you. All our shoes are made using natural materials & following hundreds of manual operations, that is why a small part of our production get damaged & end up not meeting our quality standards. These shoes are considered 'Factory Seconds' and that is why we offer them at a very reduced price.

 

Shoes offered on this Sale are made using the same materials & construction, these are shoes form our regular production which did not pass our quality control. No shoes are specifically produced to be sold on this sale.

All products sold on this Sale are 100% functional & wearable despite the aesthetic blemishes.

Even most of the blemishes & defects are minor, here is a list of the kind of defects that make these pairs Factory Seconds. We've taken pictures of the most evident flaws for your perfect understanding, said that, most of the defects present in the offered stock are minor or not located in as evident areas as the following pictures:

Upper Leather damage

Visible damage & blemishes on the upper leather, due to the manufacturing process or due to the leather properties, such as:

  • Visible marks or blemishes on the upper leather caused during the manufacturing process or inherent to the leather itself.
  • Small cuts or scuffs that occur naturally during handling.
  • Leather thinning in certain areas.
  • Refurbished blemishes from touch-ups or corrections.
  • Color variations, such as unevenly dyed or mismatched panels.
  • Natural birthmarks or scars inherent to the leather hide.

 

Stains

Stains of dye made during production. These flaws are typically minor, do not compromise durability or performance, and often go unnoticed in regular wear.

Marked soles

Shoes with marked soles usually just worn for a shooting or tried on in Store or at an Event. Because the shoes have been tried on, minor upper leather creases might be present as well.

Please note that none of these shoes are pre-owned or used,

Loose Grain

Loose grain or uneven texture on the upper leather of belts & shoes.

 

Final Sales

Because of the product and nature of this Event, all orders placed during this sale will be final, and so no returns or exchanges will be accepted.

Limited Availability

There will be no restocks on Factory Seconds during the sale—If you find something that appeals to you, better grab it while it is still available. Previous year's events sold out rather quickly!

Shipping

In order to provide a more seamless & convenient experience, this event is limited to customers located the USA, Canada & Mexico. All the orders will be shipped out via UPS or USPS from our warehouse located in Texas (USA).

Take the cart to the last step of the checkout to see the shipping costs & applicable sales tax based on where your order is shipping to.

Taxes

Prices on the Factory Seconds Event are tax exempt. Orders will be liable of taxes and duties, depending on your shipping address:

  • For clients located in the USA, orders are shipped domestically from our US warehouse located in Texas via UPS or USPS, so you will NOT pay any import duties or custom taxes.
    • US Sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to the states of NY, TX, FL, VA, IL, MD, MA, DC, OH, GA, and NJ.
  • For clients located in Canada & Mexico, orders orders are shipped from our US warehouse. Please note that orders are billed excluding Tax, so import duties & taxes are not included and you should expect to incurr in duties, taxes & other charges upon receipt, based on the particular rules of your country.

Please note that, if the parcel is rejected and returned to Meermin, any return charges, taxes or duties that Meermin gets charged will be deducted from any refund owed. If you need any further information please do not hesitate reaching our Support team.

No Hold Policy

To make it as fair and simple for everyone, this sale will be strictly based on a fist come first serve basis, we're not able to reserve or put on hold any items, we hope you understand that.

Payments

We do accept payments via all major Credit Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Amazon Pay, Google Pay and Venmo. The available currencies are US Dollars (USD), Canadian Dollars (CAD) & Mexican Peso (MXN). Please note that base price is set in US Dollar ($), while prices in other currencies are based on live exchange rates.

Rewards

Due to the nature of the product & event, no rewards can be redeemed nor accumulated by purchasing from the Factory Seconds Event.
